Process

There is a common misconception in the construction industry that the only place to save money is in the bidding process. At KSW, we have demonstrated with our clients that the greatest potential for savings begins long before the bidding process during what we call the "value engineering" phases. As the following chart illustrates, the greatest savings occur when the client, architect/engineer and KSW work closely together in the early design phases, so that "value" questions can be continually priced and assessed, to assure the client gets the best project possible for the cost. After this work is complete, the traditional bidding process to all subcontractors and vendors occurs, resulting in additional savings, along with fewer change orders during construction due to KSW's early involvement in design.

Safety Policy

It is the policy of KSW Construction Corporation to provide a safe construction site for its employees, subcontractors, customers and visitors, while complying with all applicable local, state and federal safety and health standards.

Objectives, policy, guidelines, accountability, follow-up, training, education and a mechanism to measure effectiveness are all elements of working safely. Toward that end, KSW developed a safety program in partnership with Associated Building Contractors (ABC) which details these procedures, along with specific management, supervisor and employee responsibilities. It is our philosophy that our efforts towards production, quality, safety and health must be inseparable. Through the implementation of this program, every attempt is made to reduce the possibility of an accident or illness occurring.
