Dean Slaby
President
Dean Slaby leads the KSW team with over 20 years of commercial construction experience. His career in construction began when he was 13, working summers for his father’s construction company in Staples, Minnesota. Since moving to the Madison area in 1992, he has personally managed over $100 million in construction projects, winning the respect, confidence and loyalty of his clients. Dean lives in Verona, Wis., with his wife Melanie and children Cassie, Zack, and Rachel. In his spare time he enjoys coaching 4th through 7th grade players on the Verona Wildcats football team.
Thomas Weigand
CEO
Tom Weigand has spent more than 20 years as an entrepreneur in real estate, restaurants and urban planning. He has successfully developed over $55 million in commercial real estate during his career and has been a founder and co-founder of numerous successful business concepts including Noodles & Company, which Weigand helped expand to over 100 restaurants in 11 states. Prior to joining Noodles & Company, Weigand spent 15 years in real estate, city planning and city management. In 1992, he co-founded Urban Discovery, Inc., a Madison, Wis., commercial real estate development and brokerage firm. As a senior project associate and project director at Camiros, Ltd, a planning consulting firm, Weigand provided urban planning services to over 50 Midwest communities with populations up to 800,000. His professional career began as city manager in historic Galena, Ill., which attracts more than one million visitors annually. Weigand is currently founder and president of both IWI Ventures, a Noodles & Company franchised area operator, and TFW Ventures, a real estate development company which focuses on small retail, office and other commercial developments. Tom lives in Verona, Wis., with his wife Laura and children Mallory, Brandon and Raymond.
Doug Slaby
Vice President
Doug Slaby brings twenty years of construction experience in commercial, industrial and retail/service projects. Beginning as a journeyman carpenter, he progressed to general superintendent and later senior project manager. Most recently at KSW Construction, Slaby supervised project managers, setting the groundwork for a growing team to handle an increasing workload. As vice president, he focuses on building strong, lasting relationships with clients, sub-contractors and vendors. Doug lives in Stoughton, Wis., with his wife Amy and children Matt and Troy.
