Our History

KSW Construction Company opened its doors in 2005, with the ambitious goal to start a different kind of commercial construction company. Our vision was to create a company based upon efficient service, reasonable pricing, and quality workmanship. KSW’s goal is to focus on an individual’s needs, wants, and expectations. Instead of building fast, low-quality, projects, KSW focuses to complete each project with a high-quality, budget friendly, and time managed mindset.

As a family owned and operated company, we believe that family comes first, which is why we treat our employees and our clients as family. It is for this reason, in just 16 short years of business, KSW has grown into one of the top leading commercial contractors in Dane County and the surrounding area. We are excited to see what the future holds for KSW Construction. We will always strive to provide our clients with outstanding support and services.

Our History At A Glance

2005

KSW Construction Opens Its Doors

Started by Dean Slaby, who was later joined in 2006 by his brother Doug Slaby. Their vision was to create a commercial construction company based upon efficient service, reasonable pricing, and quality workmanship.

2010

KSW Construction Relocates

KSW moves its offices to McKee Road and Seminole Hwy in Fitchburg, to better suit its staff and allow for future growth.

2015

KSW Construction Moves Up

KSW relocates their office, once again, to a new commercial retail development in Verona, WI. Our new corporate office offers much more room for advancement and growth potential! We are so excited to see what the future holds for KSW.

2021

Leaping Forward for KSW Construction

KSW Construction started off in an 1,800 square foot office with little room to grow; fast forward 16 years, 3 office moves, and hundreds of successful projects later, we built our very own office building with an attached shop/warehouse! The office space includes 13 offices, a workout and shower room, 2 bathrooms, a kitchenette, 2 conference rooms, and ample space for storage. There is an attached shop/warehouse with a tool room and bathroom included.
